Leopold Samsó ha podido viajar a desiertos de América Latina y Africa, lo que le ha permitido crear una serie de fotografías casi abstractas, desde una mirada sintética y minimalista, que determina y ajuda a esta visión que trebaja la mirada mental, de construcción de la imagen, para que con un solo clic se inmortalice un tiempo, un paisaje, una persona. Sus fotografías concentran el máximo de tempo en el mínimo de acción de la cámara. Existe una parte mental que define previamente la mirada hasta que ésta toma su tensión máxima y se convierte en luz, sombra y silencio.

The eyes exchange glances and beings exist, says a wise Chinese proverb. And Samsó also knows, like the Chinese, that the gaze is the only reliable path available if one wants to reach a deeper and more authentic landscape of his characters. A look that, furthermore, has to be reciprocal, that is, it must move in two directions at the same time and go, not only from the photographer to his characters, but also from those characters to the photographer who is focusing the camera on them.
